How to brand your booking page and send emails from your own address

Your website looks like your business. Your booking page and the emails that follow should too - from the logo on the page to the name in your customer's inbox.

The short version

  1. Add your logo and brand name - free on every plan
  2. Match your colors and background images
  3. Remove the Freeslot branding from the page and emails
  4. Move the page to your own domain
  5. Send booking emails from an address on that domain

Why branding the booking page matters

A customer clicks "Book" on your polished website and lands on a page with someone else's logo. Then the confirmation arrives from a name they don't recognize. Neither breaks the booking, but both chip away at trust.

Customers know it's really you

Your logo and name on the page answer "is this legit?" before anyone has to ask.

Emails get opened

A confirmation from your business name is easier to spot - and harder to mistake for spam - than one from a tool.

One journey, start to finish

Website, booking page, and inbox all look like the same business, so nothing feels handed off.

It looks established

A booking page on your own domain signals a business that's here to stay.

Brand your booking page

Everything lives in the Branding step when you create or edit a page. Here's what each setting changes:

Setting What it changes Plan
Brand logo & name Shown on your page, and in emails once branding is removed All plans
Logo link Clicking your logo opens your website Starter
Brand color The Confirm booking button, and email buttons once branding is removed Starter
Page background A wide image behind the whole page Starter
Custom footer Your own text and links under the booking card Starter
Details panel background An image and text color behind your logo and description Professional
Remove Freeslot branding Hides "Powered by Freeslot" on the page and in emails Professional

Logo tip: logos are cropped square, so use your icon or monogram rather than a wide wordmark - it stays sharp on the page and in the inbox.

Put it on your own domain

A booking page at book.yourbusiness.com looks like part of your site, because it is. On your own domain, your logo also becomes the browser tab icon, and the cancel and rebook links in your emails point to your domain too.

In your profile, open Custom domains, add the subdomain, create the CNAME record it shows wherever you manage your domain, and click Verify DNS. HTTPS is set up for you. Then pick the domain in the page's Public URL field. Professional

Send booking emails from your own address

Once the page is on your domain, its confirmation, cancellation, and no-show emails can come from an address like bookings@yourbusiness.com - for your customers and for you. Professional

  1. Assign your custom domain to the page

Your From address has to be on the same domain as the page. A page at book.yourbusiness.com can send from any address @yourbusiness.com.

  2. Verify your domain for sending

Under Custom domains, click Set up sending DNS. Freeslot generates a few records: an MX and a TXT record on a send subdomain, plus a signing (DKIM) key. Add them at your DNS provider, then click Verify sending DNS.

Your inbox is safe: leave your existing MX records alone. These records sit beside them, so your normal email keeps working.

  3. Add a From address

Open Sending email in your profile and add any address on your domain - bookings@, hello@, or info@. Give it a display name: that's the name customers see in their inbox.

  4. Turn it on for the page

In the page's Page settings step, switch on Custom sending email. Got more than one From address? Pick the one this page should use.

  5. Book yourself and check the inbox

Make a test booking with a personal email address. The confirmation should show your display name and logo. Hit reply - it goes to your Freeslot account email.

What your customers see in their inbox

Same booking, two inboxes. With branding removed and your own From address, customers see your name, logo, and color.

Branding mistakes to avoid

Uploading a wide logo
Logos are cropped square. A long wordmark ends up tiny or clipped - use your icon instead.
A brand color that's hard to read
Button text is white, so pale yellows and light greys disappear. Pick a shade dark enough for white text.
Touching your mailbox MX records
The sending records go on the send subdomain. Changing or deleting your existing MX can stop your normal email arriving.
A From address on a different domain
A page on book.acmestudio.com can only send from @acmestudio.com. Add the domain you actually send from.
Busy background images
Your logo and description sit on top of the details panel image. Keep the subject centred and choose a text color that stays readable.

Branding FAQ

Can I remove Freeslot branding from my booking page?

Yes, on Professional and Teams. It hides "Powered by Freeslot" on your booking page and "Sent with Freeslot" in booking emails, which then show your logo and brand color instead.

Can booking emails come from my own email address?

Yes, on Professional and Teams. Put your booking page on your own domain, verify the domain for sending with a few DNS records, add an address like bookings@yourbusiness.com, and turn it on for the page.

Will setting up a custom From address affect my existing email?

No. The sending records go on a separate send subdomain, plus one signing key. Your mailbox's MX records stay exactly as they are, so your normal email keeps working.

Where do replies to booking emails go?

To you. Whichever From address a booking email uses, replies go to your Freeslot account email.

What happens if my sending domain isn't verified yet?

Booking emails still go out from Freeslot's address, so no confirmation is lost. They switch to your own address as soon as the domain is verified and turned on for the page.
