Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating a Freeslot account, accessing a booking page we host, or otherwise using Freeslot (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you use Freeslot on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Freeslot lets hosts publish booking pages based on availability rules, optional calendar sync, and related features such as one-on-one pages, group sessions, series, team routing, embeds, branding options, notifications, and plan-based limits. Features available to you depend on your plan and settings.

We may add, change, or retire features. Where a change materially reduces core paid functionality, we will aim to give reasonable notice through the product or email.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and keep them current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for safeguarding login credentials. Notify us promptly at notifications@freeslot.me if you suspect unauthorized access.

Workspace owners and admins are responsible for invitations, roles, and the booking pages and hosts they configure.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or harmful activity
Interfere with or disrupt the Service, other users, or underlying infrastructure
Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use
Scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly allows
Upload malware or content that infringes others’ rights
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation on booking pages
Use Freeslot to send spam or unsolicited bulk messages unrelated to legitimate booking activity

We may investigate suspected misuse and suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

5. Your content and bookings

You retain ownership of content you submit to Freeslot - for example page titles, descriptions, branding assets, form questions, and notes. You grant Freeslot a limited license to host, process, display, and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

Booking records and guest details collected through your pages are processed so bookings can be created, confirmed, or cancelled, and so calendars and notifications can work as configured. You are responsible for the accuracy of your availability, page content, and how you use guest information outside Freeslot.

Guests who book through a host’s page enter into the scheduling interaction with that host. Freeslot is the technology provider facilitating the booking, not a party to the underlying appointment or professional services being scheduled.

6. Calendar and third-party tools

Optional connections to Google, Microsoft, Zoho, and similar providers are subject to those providers’ terms and the permissions you grant. Freeslot is not responsible for outages, permission changes, or data handling by those third parties. Disconnecting a calendar stops future sync under your settings; it does not automatically remove events already written to that calendar.

Embeds and custom domains you configure remain your responsibility to implement correctly on your own site or DNS.

7. Plans and pricing

Freeslot offers a free tier and paid plans with higher limits (for example pages, calendars, seats, branding, or embeds). Plan details shown at signup or on pricing pages describe the current offering and may change. Paid plans may be billed monthly or yearly in the currencies we support at checkout.

Workspace owners manage billing for their organization. Detailed payment, upgrade, downgrade, and cancellation rules are in Section 8.

8. Payments, upgrades, and cancellations

Payments are processed by our payment partner (currently Razorpay). By purchasing a paid plan you authorize recurring charges for the billing interval you select until you cancel or the subscription otherwise ends under these Terms.

8.1 Subscriptions and renewals

Paid plans auto-renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled.
Renewal charges the then-current plan price for your interval, currency, and seat quantity (where seats apply).
You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file so renewals can succeed.

8.2 Upgrades and plan changes

Same-interval upgrades (for example Starter monthly → Professional monthly) take effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the price difference over the remaining time in the current billing period.
Interval changes (monthly ↔ yearly), including upgrades that also change interval, start a new billing cycle. You are charged the full price of the new interval, minus credit for unused time on your current plan.
Seat increases on Teams (where offered) may be charged immediately on a prorated basis; seat decreases generally apply at the next renewal.

8.3 Downgrades

Downgrades to a lower paid plan are scheduled for the end of the current billing period. You keep your current plan until then; the lower plan applies afterward.
Starting the lower paid plan after the period ends may require you to authorize a new payment mandate with our payment partner (see Section 8.6).

8.4 Cancellation

You may cancel auto-renewal from billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals.
No prorated refund for the unused remainder of the current period, except where required by law or we expressly agree otherwise.
After you cancel, you keep access to your paid plan features until the end of the current paid period. At that date the workspace moves to the Free plan (or soft-locks features that exceed Free limits).
Cancelling does not delete your account or content automatically; you may still manage or delete data subject to our Privacy Policy.

8.5 Resuming (“Keep my plan”)

If you cancel and then choose to keep your plan before the period ends, we clear the local cancellation so you remain on the paid plan.
Our payment partner generally cannot reverse a cancelled subscription. Resuming may create a new subscription for the same plan, with the first renewal charge scheduled at or after your current paid period end — so you are not charged again for time already paid.
You may need to complete payment authorization again before renewals resume (see Section 8.6).

8.6 Payment authorization and minimum fees

Some plan changes (upgrades that replace the payment subscription, resumes after cancel, or starting a new interval) require you to authorize a mandate or payment method again in checkout.
Your bank or our payment partner may charge a small verification / authentication fee for that step (for example about ₹5 for INR card or UPI mandates, or a similar minimum in other currencies). That fee is set by the payment rails / partner, not as an additional Freeslot plan charge for the billing period you already paid.
Full plan charges for a new period occur at the times described above (proration at upgrade, or renewal at period start), not as a duplicate charge for an already-paid interval when resume is set up correctly.

8.7 Failed payments and taxes

Failed renewals may place the subscription past due. If payment is not resolved within the grace period we publish in-product (currently three days), the workspace may be moved to Free and paid features soft-locked.
Prices may be shown inclusive or exclusive of taxes depending on currency and checkout. Applicable taxes (including GST where required) may be added or included as shown at payment time.

9. Freeslot intellectual property

The Service - including software, design, logos, and documentation - is owned by Freeslot and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to use Freeslot trademarks except as needed to identify that you use the Service (for example “Book with Freeslot”) in a truthful way.

10. Availability and changes

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, infrastructure issues, or third-party calendar outages may affect booking pages or sync. You should keep your own records of important appointments where appropriate.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FREESLOT DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR BE FREE OF ERRORS.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FREESLOT AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO FREESLOT FOR THE SERVICE DURING THAT PERIOD (OR, IF YOU USE ONLY THE FREE TIER, ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS OR THE EQUIVALENT LOCAL LIMIT REQUIRED BY LAW).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

13. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Freeslot against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your booking pages, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law — except to the extent caused by Freeslot’s willful misconduct.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Freeslot and delete your account at any time, subject to any outstanding fees. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued use creates risk to the Service or others.

Sections that by nature should survive - including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — remain in effect after termination.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Ernakulam, Kerala, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the product or by email when practical. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
